Our Staff

 Heather van Konynenburg, Executive Director

With over 10 years of experience working at Little Feet Big Dreams and various centres in the Halton/Peel regions, I am so excited to have become the executive director here at Little Feet Big Dreams.

I am dedicated to continue improving the quality of care at Little Feet Big Dreams where all our children will have the opportunity to learn and gain self confidence while interacting with their peers. They will develop many new developmental skills daily as they participate in planned activities such as creative, sensory, circle time and story time.

As supervisor/director, my goal is to maintain the enriched, stimulating curriculum in all of our classrooms, infants through preschool. Each program will be a balance between a strong educational program and a nurturing environment for each child to thrive in.

A nurturing environment is the foundation for all children to grow and develop in a positive learning environment, and our dedicated teachers are committed to upholding this principal.

Each and every child is valued at Little Feet Big Dreams and they will leave our centre having been challenged and motivated.

Christine Sharp, Head Preschool Teacher and Assistant Supervisor

I decided to become a child caregiver because I want to make a difference in the lives of children. I am passionate about being a part of their upbringing and watching them grow.

I am an Honours ECE graduate from Mohawk College, and have experience in various levels of childcare including special needs children.
I love being a part of Little Feet Big Dreams because of the opportunities it opens for me. I am led by such great management, and I am given the chance to develop my skills at the same time as this centre to continue to improve.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, and friends. I also enjoy reading.

Monika Landry, Head Infant Room Teacher

My name is Monika Landry and I am a Registered Early Childhood educator. I graduated from Sheridan College in 2007 and have worked in many daycare centres since. I have also worked with children with visual impairments.

My passion for working with children came at an early age from taking care of younger cousins and volunteering in the JK/SK rooms in elementary school. I finally became a big sister at the age of 13, when I truly knew I wanted to work with young children.

As the Head Infant Room teacher, my goal is to promote a safe environment that encourages exploration and learning. I will provide each child with all the love, patience, attention and care that they need.
